Capacity house at Rod Brind’Amour Arena sees home team fall short

The Victoria Cougars tied the VIJHL final series last night in Campbell River beating the Storm 3-1 before a capacity house at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena.

The Cougars’ Crayden Hohl scored twice including the winner. Hohl also earned first star honours. The insurance goal came from Branden Tangney.

Lone goal scorer for the Campbell River Storm was Mitchell Williamson in the third period as the Storm attempted to mount a furious comeback while down 2-0.

The series stands at two games apiece with the next match on Thursday at Victoria’s Archie Browning Arena. The teams will return to Campbell River for a game at the Brindy on Saturday. See the VIJHL website for details.
