Two men were arrested after a stabbing in a Saanich park late Friday night.

Just before midnight, police responded to Rutledge Park on Inverness Avenue, where two men in their 20s – brothers – were attacked and stabbed.

“The victims initially thought they were being punched,” said Saanich police Sgt. Dean Jantzen. “Both victims were transported to VGH for treatment.” They have since been released.

Investigators quickly located the two suspects at a residence less than a block away.

Victoria resident Chhorvanna Touch, 20, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of weapon possession.

A second man was charged with a single count of assault and released on bail conditions.
