Car versus townhouse
Residents of a townhouse complex along the 8700 block of 208 Street had a bit of a startle Thursday morning, June 15.
A wayward four-door sedan smashed through a fence and into the front of one of the units on the west side of 208 Street, between the freeway overpass and 88 Avenue.
Firefighters and RCMP responded to the scene.
Langley RCMP say a 36-year-old driver turned left in front of the sedan which had the right-of-way. The 89-year-old driver was forced to swerve, losing control and ending up into the bushes and fence of the townshouse complex.
The elderly driver was taken to hospital for precaution. The other driver didn’t appear to be injured, said police.
