A capacity crowd of 7,046 filled the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre on Friday evening for the first of two sold-out games between the Abbotsford Heat and Oklahoma City Barons.

The Barons are the Edmonton Oilers’ AHL affiliate, and they were a huge drawing card because they’re loaded with top young players from their parent club during the NHL lockout, including Jordan Eberle, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Taylor Hall and Justin Schultz.

Some hockey-starved fans came all the way from Edmonton to take in the game, and Abbotsford News video contributor Nicolle Hodges was on the scene.

The Heat won the game 4-0, and for more coverage, click here.
