Nanaimo Fire Rescue crews put out fire that destroyed a Ford Windstar on Tuesday at Brooks Landing

Firefighters put out a blaze in a minivan in a Nanaimo parking lot this afternoon.

Nanaimo Fire Rescue was called out Tuesday at 1 p.m. to Brooks Landing and arrived on scene to find a Ford Windstar fully engulfed in flame.

Nobody was hurt in the incident, which occurred in the shopping centre’s back parking lot along Departure Bay Road.

Nanaimo Fire Rescue didn’t have further information as to a cause, but the fire was not considered suspicious and is not under investigation.
