Community workers like Brittley James say that drug overdoses are out of control in Campbell River. And the crisis is especially bad in local First Nations communities.

James, a community wellness worker at Kwakiutl District Council Health, spoke to the Mirror about the opioid crisis on Friday, which was International Overdose Awareness Day.
