There was plenty of fun and a few epic struts down the catwalk at Ballenas Secondary’s Dry Grad Fashion Show, which took place at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre on Wednesday, April 11.

Students modelled fashions from local stores, showcasing a wide selection of spring and summer clothing and accessories. Those included formal wear, sports wear including golf and soccer clothing, as well as some fishing and surfing outfits.

Items from more than a dozen stores were featured on the catwalk at the event, which serves as a fundraiser for the Ballenas dry grad. Members of Innovate Dance Arts gave two performances at the event as well.

Check out the moments we captured of the event in the video below.

For those looking for another fashion show to attend, the Kwalikum Secondary School Grad Fashion Show is set to go Thursday, April 19, at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 from Pharmasave, Mulberry Bush Bookstore, Arbutus Emporium and Thalassa Restaurant, all in Qualicum Beach.

The event was a fundraiser for the 2018 Dry Grad.
