Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service had a busy night on Sunday.
After responding to a blaze inside a laundromat on George Ferguson Way earlier in the evening, crews then responded to a garage fire on Princess Street at around 12:20 a.m. early on Monday morning.

Crews quickly brought it under control and managed to stop it from spreading. Nine occupants, five cats and two dogs were evacuated safely from the home. Two bunnies did not survive.
There was slight damage to the neighbouring house.
