Eighteen students from Fraser-Cascade and Chilliwack school districts tried their hands behind the controls of a variety of heavy equipment over the weekend during the Heavy Metal Rocks event held at Interior Heavy Equipment Operator School in Mission.
The group of selected high schoolers rotated between machines including excavators and dozers carrying out tasks that mimicked real job situations.
