Abbotsford Fire Rescue Services were busy over the weekend, as a suspected arsonist set fire to several garbage cans.
Crews quickly put out a dumpster fire on Sunday night at around 11 p.m., but as crews were responding it was updated that someone was going along Peardonville Road and were setting several garbage cans on fire.
Members quickly put out the smaller fires with a perisher can, but needed much more water to put the dumpster out. Police swarmed the area but the suspect was not found.
AFRS also quickly put out a garage fire on Saturday, which started after an explosion of some sort.
UPDATE: Abbotsford Police reported that they apprehended two suspects, who appeared in court yesterday.
