View Royal fire fighters were able to contain a mobile home fire on Cooper road on Friday, Sept. 5.
“It was a deck that caught fire on the outside,” said Lieut. Heath Bevan. “By the time the crews got there, it had started to work its way inside.”
Fire fighters were able to control the blaze and extinguish it, leaving mostly exterior damage to the home, and minimal damage to a motorhome that had been parked out front.
No one was hurt, and fire fighters were able to rescue a dog from the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
