The Village of Lumby’s public works staff are getting top marks for taking on Old Man Winter.
Mayor Kevin Acton says he has heard from many residents who are pleased with the level of road clearing during and after a major snow storm passed through the Okanagan Jan. 4 and 5.
“Our guys have done a fantastic job,” he said.
About 40 centimetres fell within two days in the region although the amount of snow varied from location to location, and accumulations may have been higher in Lumby. Acton says village employees have been keeping themselves busy since the storm. “I’m really proud of the work done by the crew.”
