Walk-ins welcome at upcoming G.W. Secondary vaccine clinic

Second consecutive Saturday Fraser Health has scheduled a same-day clinic in a Chilliwack school

Fraser Health is holding a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, June 19 at G.W. Graham secondary school with same-day appointments for walk-ins.

It’s the second consecutive Saturday that Fraser Health officials have scheduled a clinic in a Chilliwack school to administer first doses of COVID-19 shots.

Last week’s clinic was at Rosedale Traditional, where they also opened it up to those seeking second doses, at the last minute, but the poster for the G.W. Graham clinic does not mention second doses.

“These low-barrier registration and vaccination clinics are for first dose vaccinations, supporting specific communities,” said Fraser Health spokesperson Dixon Tam. “Clinic staff will confirm ID to ensure vaccine priority is given to people living in the neighbourhood.”

The clinic will run 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while vaccine lasts, at GW Graham secondary, 45955 Thomas Road, Chilliwack.

Before showing up to the clinic, folks are asked to register online at gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated or by calling 1-833-838-2323.

Families are welcome, and anyone 12 and over is eligible. Bring health number, and photo ID, if possible, and wear a mask.

Anyone who is sick, has COVID-19 or has been asked to self-isolate is asked not to attend the clinic.
