UPDATE (10 a.m., May 9): The 100 Mile House RCMP have issued a warrant for the arrest for Shawn Taylor, who was previously missing.
“This person was posted as missing yesterday as we awaited charge approval from Crown Counsel and the concerns for his mental well being were of paramount interest at the outset of this file,” said Staff Sgt. Svend Nielsen of the 100 Mile House RCMP.
His warrant of arrest is for kidnapping, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, robbery and use of imitation (with) firearm during an offence.
If seen or located, the public should call the detachment or phone 911. His current whereabouts are not known, but the 100 Mile House RCMP believe he is still within its detachment coverage area.
“We do consider him to be armed and dangerous and he should not be approached by the public if he or his vehicle are seen,” said Nielsen.
