Weapon used in Maple Ridge robbery

Police said a man entered a store in the 22200-block of Lougheed Highway.

Police are looking for a man after a weapon was used to rob a beer and wine store in Maple Ridge on Wednesday.

Around 6:15 p.m., police said a man entered a store in the 22200-block of Lougheed Highway. He produced a weapon and demanded money from the employee, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured, said Ridge Meadows RCMP.

Police are releasing a surveillance photo of the suspect, who is described as a Caucasian man, 40 to 50 years old, about 6’0″ with a thin build. He was wearing a cowboy hat, plaid shirt, blue jeans and boots.
