Bad weather has forced the Town of Ladysmith to apply for a deadline extension for the turffield.City manager Ruth Malli told councillors the project should have been completed by the March 31, 2011 deadline, but wet, often snowy weather dampened efforts in the final push.Council agreed to support seeking the deadline extension to October 31, 2011 as offered by the funder, Western Economic Diversification.Work that still needs to be done on the project includes completing some paving, installing a playground and completing landscaping.The High Street project should reach the required substantial completion by the March 31 deadline.
