The week started with a big win for the UFV basketball squad to put them in the final four. Shoppers at Safeway were in for an unpleasant surprise when pepper spray was discharged, resulting in two people being taken to hospital.

Motorists saw gas prices suddenly soar with predictions of $1.50 per litre by summer.

An 11-year-old had his hospital stay made more pleasant, courtesy of the Abbotsford Heat.

Anti-bullying Day, also known as Pink Shirt Day was a big success and the Taboo sex show returned.
