A 36-year-old West Kelowna man faces multiple charges after a search warrant was executed on a West Kelowna condominium last week.
Neil Elliott Collins has been charged with multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition.
Police say further charges may also be pending against a 26-year-old West Kelowna man, a 23-year-old Kelowna woman and a 42-year-old West Kelowna woman as a result of the search.
On May 23, the Kelowna RCMP Drug Unit, Target Team and Special Enforcement Team completed a month long investigation with the execution of a search warrant at a condo complex located in the 2200 block of Upper Sundance Drive in West Kelowna.
The search of the residence was preceded by a trio of traffic stops the previous evening. During the first stop, police arrested two people and seized 21.75 grams of crystal methamphetamine, two grams of heroin, 14 morphine pills, 33 grams of methadone and 10 dilaudid tablets.
Later, a pair of simultaneous traffic stops resulted in the seizure of over 20 suspected stolen property items including scopes, electronics, air guns, tools and clothing as well as the arrest of both drivers.
In carrying out the condo search, in which a fifth person was also arrested, police where a fifth person was arrested. In relation to the search warrant, police seized 7.8 ounces of heroin, 4.5 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, 111.6 grams of marihuana bud, 0.03 grams of crack cocaine, 600 millilitres of Gamma-Hydroxybutyric Acid (GHB), a loaded syringe with suspected heroin, 250 millilitres of liquid codeine, hundreds of various prescription pills, a significant amount of cash and a loaded 9mm Glock 17 handgun.
The prescription pills are suspected to have been stolen recently from a West Kelowna pharmacy.
