The District of West Kelowna is creating a Westbank Cemetery Strategy, which will provide more options for memorials and improve the appearance of the currently dull location.
To help the district achieve that goal, an information meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 at the West Kelowna Holiday Inn.
West Kelowna council is considering a phased upgrade to the Westbank Cemetery, including the potential construction of a mausoleum or columbarium and upgrading the dry cemetery to a green space.
Attendees will be asked for input on what improvements they would like to see at the cemetery.
