With the slogan, No Fire Will Stop the Show, the Westbank Country Opry is determined to keep their long-running musical act alive.

The Westbank Country Opry will begin their 2013-14 season of monthly musical shows Sunday, Sept. 29 at Emmanuel Church at 2600 Hebert Road in West Kelowna.

Doors will open at about 1 p.m. and the show will start at approximately 2:30 p.m.

“We ask everyone to bear with us for the first show as we work out the logistics of setting up the show after the Emmanuel congregation has left at about 12:30 p.m.,” stated a release put out by the Westbank Country Opry.

Since its start, the Westbank Country Opry has performed at Westbank Community Centre; however, the Sept. 1 fire has forced the musical act to find an alternate venue.

The Emmanuel Church auditorium is larger than Westbank Community Hall; therefore, the group hopes to get a crowd of at least 400 people for their first performance of the new season.
