Westbank Lions Hall fire deemed suspicious

An investigation has produced enough evidence to indicate the fire that engulfed Westbank Lions Community Centre is suspicious in nature.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue, working in conjunction with West Kelowna RCMP, has concluded its investigation into the Sept. 1 fire at the Westbank Lions Hall with enough evidence indicating that the fire cause is suspicious in nature.

The file has now been turned over to West Kelowna RCMP for further investigation.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. Sunday, West Kelowna Fire Rescue received a report of a fire at the Westbank Lions Hall at 2466 Main Street.

The Westbank Lions Hall is owned and operated by the Westbank Lions Club and is a meeting place utilized by several community groups.
