A second WestJet daily flight to Calgary is counting down to lift-off.
After 16 months of daily flights from Nanaimo to Calgary, WestJet Encore is about to launch a second daily non-stop flight to Calgary.
The new flight starts Sunday (Oct. 26), arriving in Nanaimo at 6:36 p.m. and departing for Calgary at 7:06 p.m.
Mike Hooper, Nanaimo Airport president and CEO, said the added flight indicates strong support by mid Island region customers for WestJet service.
