The City of White Rock will receive more than $200,000 in provincial funding for its share of a province-wide revenue-sharing program.
White Rock is set to receive $166,833 of funding, plus an additional $95,948 in small community grants, according to a release from the provincial government last week.
The funding is part of $75.2 million being divvied up among B.C. municipalities – including $4,256,405 for Surrey – from the Traffic Fine Revenue Sharing Program, and is meant to help communities fund policing, new equipment, infrastructure and safety initiatives.
