For the sixth year running, Penticton’s Wildstone Construction Group has qualified as one of Canada’s 50 best-managed companies for 2019.
The determination is based on excellence in leadership, performance and sustainable growth.
Sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post, Queen’s School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums, the best-managed award recognizes Canadian-owned and managed companies that embrace innovation, seize opportunities and inspire talent.
“This award is earned by our team and celebrated by our team,” said Wildstone president Mark Mellisen in a news release. ” We’ve been able to build a strong brand and grow as a business because of the combined strength of a lot of great people.”

Wildstone is a family-run construction and engineering company. As general contractors, builders, engineers and construction managers they provide services throughout western and northern Canada, including some of the most remote and unforgiving environments on the planet, according to a company spokesperson.
Melissen said their more than 100 team members embrace their shared culture with the goal of providing a better building experience than any other company in the building industry.
He added core values created with input from all staff capture their best practices and encourage the team to not only be better in their positions but to be contributors in the community and “to be their best with their families.”
Winners of the award will be honoured at a ceremony in Toronto on April 1.
