Williams Lake Fire Department rescinds backyard burning ban

The Williams Lake Fire Department has lifted the backyard burning ban that has been in place.

The Williams Lake Fire Department has lifted the backyard burning ban that has been in place for most of the summer.

The decision was made due to the reduction in fire hazard and the BC Wildfire Service rescinding its campfire bans throughout the Cariboo Fire Centre Friday.

The city reminds the public outdoor fire pits must follow the requiremnts in the Fire Protection and Control Bylaw.
