At the final meeting of the Campbell River School District (SD72) Board of Education for the calendar year on Tuesday, it was once again time to elect a board chair and vice chair for their next sitting.
The board chose the status quo moving forward into 2017, as Trustee Susan Wilson was nominated and acclaimed as chair for a third year. Likewise, Trustee Ted Foster was elected for his third term as vice-chair.
“I would like to thank everyone for their ongoing vote of confidence,” said Wilson upon resuming her role at the head of the table. “I have really enjoyed working with all of you. It’s a fantastic board to be a part of and I look forward to another year of hard work, good discussions and thoughtful decisions.
“I think we’re a great team where everybody brings their own strengths to the table and I look forward to the challenges we’ll face in the year to come, along with its successes.”
