A Falkland neighbourhood took the brunt of an area windstorm Monday.
Winds forced a tree down across Lynes Road in Falkland, wiping out a power line and knocking power out for eight to nine hours for area residents.
Another tree was also knocked down by the windstorm, causind damage to a van.
Crews were on scene well into the evening Monday repairing the damage and getting power back on.
