Strong winds will be blustering around the east coast of Vancouver Island tomorrow.
Environment Canada issued a wind warning for Wednesday, Feb. 28, for Victoria and Nanoose Bay to Campbell River.
“An intense frontal system approaching the B.C. coast will spread strong southeasterly winds to some inner south coast regions starting later Wednesday morning,” the warning notes. “Southeasterly winds 70 gusting to 90 km/h will affect Victoria region near Haro Strait, southern sections of the southern Gulf Islands, exposed coastal sections of the Sunshine Coast and east Vancouver Island.”
The strong winds aren’t expected to blow over until Wednesday evening.
Environment Canada warns that the winds may cause damage and loose objects could be tossed around.
