Spring isn’t here quite yet.
Because if snow doesn’t arrive tonight, the cool temperatures have. Environment Canada’s special weather statement warning about snow was still up Saturday afternoon.
It’s calling for rain followed by snow on Saturday night. But don’t get in too much of a panic, because only two centimetres are expected in Metro Vancouver with up to five cm in higher areas. More snow could then follow on Tuesday. But starting Wednesday, Pacific air is expected to sweep in bringing milder temperatures and rain.
Temperatures tonight are expected to drop to 1 C followed by a high on Sunday of 7 C and a low of O C. Monday, it’s expected to dip to -2 C.
This winter has been one of the snowiest in years as cities struggled to keep streets clear.
