The Port Mann Freeway Patrol (PMFP) is seeking witnesses to a motorcycle crash last week.
On Friday, May 17 at about 9:30 a.m., the PMFP tried to stop a blue motorcycle on Highway 1 near 176th Street. The motorcycle evaded police, and moments later was involved in a single vehicle accident.
The driver, who was wearing a black jacket with red helmet, fled the scene on foot, and attempted to take a vehicle that was traveling on Highway 1 westbound off ramp to 176 Street in Surrey.
The vehicle that the suspect attempted to take is described as a Ford single cab pickup truck, early 80’s model, that was beige/tan in colour and possibly driven by an older male.
Police are hoping to speak with the driver of the Ford pick up truck and are asking that person and anyone else that may have information regarding this incident to call Cst John Stables of the PMFP at 604-526-9744 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
