A 51-year-old woman is behind bars awaiting a June 16 court date, after being arrested for domestic assault twice in one month.
The first incident happened May 7, when she attacked her common-law husband with a broken bottle at their residence in the 2600-block of Eastdowne Road. She was charged with assault and ordered to stay away from the residence, but Oak Bay police found her there again just after midnight on June 1.
She is charged with assault with a weapon – a butcher’s knife – and breaching the conditions of her previous arrest.
The man suffered minor cuts.
