Woman injured by ‘head stomping’

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 32 calls for service from March 30th, 8 a.m. till March 31st, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 32 calls for service from March 30th, 8 a.m. till March 31st, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, three people were lodged in Terrace cells; none for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Assist external agency with trespassers. Checks of an area were done.

A man with no shirt requesting businesses to call police because he was being chased. Police located the man who was uncooperative and belligerent and did not want police assistance.

Assist external agency. Police stood by and kept the peace.

Threats were uttered and a knife shown. Police spoke with people involved.

A man in medical distress. Police stood by and kept the peace while BC Ambulance conducted transport.

Assist BC Ambulance with a patient. Police spoke with the man who went on his way.

Elsewhere Terrace

Possible identify theft. Police assisted a person and Dawson Creek RCMP.

Suicidal woman with a self-inflicted injury. Police apprehended the woman under the Mental Health Act and transported her to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.

Assist Vancouver PD with an investigation.

Deceased 56-year-old man.

Harassment. Police spoke with the people involved.

Information received on an investigation.

Possible impaired driver. Police managed to track the driver down. Unfounded.

An intoxicated woman sitting in front of a residence on Park Ave., not her own, drinking whiskey. Police requested the assistance of BC Ambulance who transported the woman to Mills Memorial Hospital due to her level of intoxication.

Intoxicated woman sitting outside of a residence on Scott Ave. Police spoke with the woman who agreed to move inside and into the care of a sober person.

Domestic assault. A woman suffered injuries from a head stomping. A 29-year-old man was arrested and charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A youth throwing a temper tantrum. Police spoke with the people involved and a resolution was reached.

A black wallet with a pouch in the center containing various cards and ID was lost near the park or pool.

A man on the ground near Park Ave./Kalum St. Police spoke with the man and transported him to the care of a sober person.

An intoxicated man refusing to leave the shelter on Hall St. Police transported the man to an alternate location.

Missing youth. He was located in the early hours of the morning and refused to return home.

Suicidal woman. She was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital.

Uttering threats. Police spoke with a youth.

Theft of a red Kona mountain bike that was locked up in front of a residence on the 4800 block of Lazelle Ave.

Thornhill

A small black clutch purse containing various cards, ID, and cash was stolen from a residence on Mist St.

A woman in medical distress. Police stood by and kept the peace while BC Ambulance conducted transport.

False residential alarm on Queensway Dr.

An intoxicated woman refusing to leave a residence. The issue had resolved itself prior to police attendance.

A motor vehicle incident. Police spoke with the people involved.

Kitsumkalum

Missing youth. Police located the youth later in the day and apprehended the youth under the Mental Health Act. The youth was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.
