TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 30 calls for service from June 6, 8 a.m. till June 7, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there were four people lodged in Terrace Cells. One of these people was lodged for public intoxication.
Downtown Terrace
a man impersonating another man to withdraw funds from an account. Police arrested a 71-year-old man. Under investigation.
man and woman fighting in front of the Bank of Montreal. Checks were done of the area.
aggressive panhandler in front of the Safeway. Police arrested a 49-year-old for public intoxication. He was mean and belligerent with police and the public in the area.
two shoplifters were arrested by Shoppers Drug Mart staff. Police arrested two girls ages 14 and 12 yrs of age. The items were returned to Shoppers Drug Mart and to the Dollar Store. The girls were released to their guardians.
man passed out on Greig Ave. in a stairwell. Police spoke with two men ages 33 and 34.
Elsewhere Terrace
attempts were made to assist Kitimat RCMP with execution of a warrant on a 36-year-old man.
a woman received an indecent phone call. Police called the number and spoke with a man on the phone. Police also gave advice on the matter which included not to give out personal information over the phone and to be especially wary of phone numbers with area codes from other countries.
familial dispute. No offence committed. A 17-year-old boy left the residence prior to police attendance. He attempted to return to the residence later in the evening but was not welcome. Police requested the assistance of Ministry of Children and Families.
a woman is posting defamatory comments about a 15-year-old girl on Facebook. Police gave advice on the matter.
a woman had her bank card stolen and money withdrawn from her account. Police spoke with the woman. Numerous people have her PIN number and access to her account. Ongoing investigation.
possible impaired driver in a grey Chevrolet Impala. Police pulled the vehicle over on Haugland Ave. N offence committed.
suicidal 62-year-old woman. Police transported her to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment. She was soon released and police transported her back to her residence.
noisy neighbor in an apartment building. Ongoing issue. Police spoke with the people involved.
noisy party on Medeek Ave. Police spoke with the people involved. The complaint was unfounded.
noisy dog on Straume Ave. Police gave advice on the matter.
a person firing a pellet gun into a wooded area near Caledonia Dr. Police spoke with a 16-year-old boy and gave advice as to how to do this activity in a manner that would not generate complaints.

suspicious man prowling around a business parking lot on Hwy 16 east. Checks were done of area.
Rural
two aggressive dogs killed a cat. Concerns over children in the area. Police involvement was not wanted at this time. Advice was given on the matter.
motor vehicle collision between a Ford Escalade and a Chrysler Intrepid on Hwy 16/Chimdemash Loop. A 29-year-old woman was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and assessment. She was a passenger in the Chrysler. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed. Ongoing investigation.
suspicious trailer parked on a street. Ongoing investigation.
Police were enroute to a motor vehicle collision on Hwy 16 when they came across another vehicle incident near Brooks St. A Mazda B400 truck veered off road and suffered minor damage. No injuries. The vehicle was still drivable.
suicidal woman. She returned to her residence a short time after the initial call. No concerns.
false business alarm on Bristol Rd.
a brown Pontiac Grand Am was pulled over on Hwy 16 west near Little Oliver Creek for speeding. The passenger was the registered owner and had a notice to serve prohibition order. Police served the necessary documents.
man walking down Hwy 16 towards Prince Rupert. Police spoke with a man and convinced him to accept a ride from police to return to Terrace. Police have requested the assistance of Northern Adult Mental Health.

police assisted a man in obtaining some personal belongings from his residence.
