The City of Vernon is grinding ahead with road work on Old Kamloops Road.

Paving contractors will begin grinding the road surface starting Monday to prepare for asphalt overlay.

The project extends from 43rd Avenue north to the city boundary south of Blue Jay subdivision.

Surface grinding will take approximately two days to complete and will result in minor traffic delays. Further road surface preparation will continue for the remainder of the week with paving tentatively scheduled for July 2 to 4.
