The World Day of Prayer 2016, written by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Cuba (“Receive Children; Receive Me”) was held at the Grand Forks USCC Community Centre on Friday, March 4.

It was co-hosted by the Union of Spiritual Communities of Christ and Christ Lutheran Church with participation by Baptist, Anglican, United, Sacred Heart, Christian, and Gospel churches of Grand Forks.

USCC Executive Director JJ Verigin and Christ Lutheran Pastor Ken Schauer spoke from the heart to approximately 85 people in attendance at this year’s service which included readings, prayers, singing and a musical performance.

The fellowship continued over light refreshments downstairs which featured a beautiful display of photos taken in Cuba by Terry and Val Rilkoff.
