Young man stabbed in Pitt Meadows

He is recovering in hospital.

A young man was stabbed multiple times in Pitt Meadows on Friday.

According to Ridge Meadows RCMP, he is recovering in hospital.

Police do not have a suspect in custody.

Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit is investigating.

Police and paramedics were called to the 11900 block of Bonson Road at about 11:45 p.m. on Remembrance Day.

The victim was found suffering from several stab wounds and was rushed by ambulance to hospital for immediate medical attention.

“Investigators have learned the victim was involved in an altercation with a group of people a short time before he was assaulted,” said Cpl. Brenda Winpenny.

The initial police response was aided by the Integrated Police Dog Services, she added, and a search of the immediate area resulted in key evidence being located.
