Young people to descend on KSS for conference

Some 2,000 young people from across Western Canada are expected to attend the 9th annual Rush Youth Conference, Feb. 15 to 17.

One of the largest youth conferences in Canada will be hosted by Kelowna as some 2,000 young people from across Western Canada are expected to attend the 9th annual Rush Youth Conference, Feb. 15 to 17.

The event will be at the Kelowna Secondary School gym as well as other venues.

Among the activities planned: 200 participants will  partner with World Vision, International Justice Mission, and Hope for the Nations to raise funds to rehabilitate child soldiers in Uganda; performances by Chrosistian musical performers Starfield and David Crowder;  and a presentation by social activist Tony Campolo, the spiritual advisor to former U.S. president Bill Clinton.
