Lots of congestion through Langley, today. More wet weather in the forecast

Good morning! It was a little wet to start the day at 8 C as of 7 a.m., and the Environment Canada weather service tells us we’ve got 86 per cent humidity and 22 km/h winds from the south.

Today, we’ve got showers in the forecast, with the temperature expected to rise only a couple degrees to a windy 10 C, before dropping back down a few to 7 C overnight with a chance of showers – periods of rain beginning before morning. That’s followed by periods of rain tomorrow with a high, again, of 10 C and a low of 6 C overnight with a chance of showers and cloudy periods.

On Friday we’ve got a little beacon of sun in an otherwise grey forecast, with a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 14 C, dropping down to 6 C overnight with clouds and periods of rain.

From there on out, it’s rain, periods of rain and a chance of showers, with highs below the 14 C seasonal average, between 9 and 13 C from Saturday to Tuesday. Lows of 4 to 5 C.

Currently, visibility is 24 kilometres.

On clear roads and driving at the speed limit, a drive from the Abbotsford News building to Downtown Vancouver would take 50 minutes.

Today, your daily commute time as of 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 10, 2019 is one hour 35 minutes, with a stretch of mild, moderate and heavy congestion starting around Aldergrove and running through most of Langley. That’s followed by a little patch of moderate congestion in Surrey and moderate then mild congestion past the Port Mann Bridge.
