Looking at some potential snowflakes over the next week, including today, and a breezy commute today

Good morning! It was a little wet to start the day at 2 C as of 7 a.m., and the Environment Canada weather service tells us we’ve got 98 per cent humidity and 8 km/h winds from the north-northeast.

Today, we could see some wet snow, mixed with rain during the day, and rain overnight, with the temperature set to hover at 3 C throughout.

Tomorrow will be much the same, albeit a little warmer, at 9 C with rain during the day and 3 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers overnight.

Sunday and Monday we’re looking at some sunny days and clear nights, with highs of 5 and 3 C respectively, and lows of -2 and -5 C.

And getting into early next week, we’re looking at a chance of rain showers or flurries on Tuesday and Wednesday, and a chance of showers on Thursday. Highs are set to rise from 3 C to 6 C and lows to rise from -1 to 2 C.

Currently, visibility is 16 kilometres.

On clear roads and driving at the speed limit, a drive from the Abbotsford News building to Downtown Vancouver would take 50 minutes.

Today, your daily commute time as of 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 is one hour four minutes, with only minor congestion in small sections along Highway 1 past the Port Mann Bridge.
