Youth bites police officer

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 56 calls for service from March 1st, 8 a.m. till March 3rd, 8 a.m.

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 56 calls for service from March 1st, 8 a.m. till March 3rd, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, eight people were lodged in Terrace cells – five of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

BC Ambulance request police assistance with a call. Police attendance was called off prior to attendance.

Threats uttered on Emerson St. An intoxicated adult man was arrested.

A neon pink women’s wallet was stolen from an unlocked car parked behind Domino’s Pizza. Checks of the area were done.

Intoxicated youth in behind the Salvation Army. Police arrested the youth.

Disturbance on Park Ave. A man was transported to an alternate location.

Fight in Brolly Square. Police spoke with some people in the area.

Woman sleeping in the ATM Vestibule of TD Bank. Police transported the woman to an alternate location.

Numerous items were seized from the backpacks of three people walking around in the middle of the night. Police are looking for the owners. Items were stolen in car shopping incidents.

Threats with a baseball bat in a road rage incident. Police spoke with the people involved.

Locks were pried off of a dumpster on Greig Ave.

Possible impaired driver. Police spoke with a man. No offence.

A group drinking alcohol on Lakelse Ave. Police dumped some alcohol and the group moved on.

Two men drinking in the TD Bank ATM vestibule. Checks determined that a man was in breach of undertaking condition of not to be outside of his residence when under the influence of alcohol. The 44-year-old man was arrested and held for court.

Elsewhere Terrace

Copper wire was stolen from the back of a work truck parked on the 2500 block of Sparks St. sometime during the night of Feb. 29th/March 1st. The cable had new hook ups or connectors and had -40 degrees written on the cord.

Landlord/tenant issues. Police spoke with the people involved.

Harassment via text messages. Police spoke with the people involved.

Graffiti was spray painted on a retaining wall on the 3200 block of Clinton St sometime between Feb. 25 and 26.

Two stolen wallets were turned into the detachment.

Assault. No cooperation to proceed further.

A green 1998 Ford F150 was pulled over on School St. The driver did not have a driver’s licence. The truck was impounded.

Uttering threats investigation.

Disturbance in the hospital. The man left prior to police attendance.

A man was observed trying the door handles of vehicles parked on Davis Ave.

Property was found in the school ground on Loen Ave.

Intoxicated woman trying to get into different apartments. Police arrested the woman and transported her to the care of a sober person.

A man and woman causing problems in the Park Ave. Medical Building. One had urinated in the elevator. Police located the pair in another part of town and spoke with them about their behavior.

Fraud investigation.

A woman causing problems on Park Ave. Police arrested the woman.

A woman causing a disturbance at a business on Kalum St. Police spoke with a woman.

Suicidal person on Hanson St. Police spoke with the woman at an alternate location.

Shoplifting from a business on Lakelse Ave.

An intoxicated man refusing to leave the library and took a woman’s purse. Police arrested the man and the purse had already been returned.

Three hikers lost on Terrace Mountain. Terrace Search and Rescue located the three ill prepared teens.

Domestic dispute. The people involved were located. A youth attempted to charge and assault a police officer. Another police officer was able to intercept and arrest the youth. The police officer was bitten. Under investigation.

A woman heard in distress on Haugland Ave./Feeney Ave. Police spoke with two intoxicated men, one who was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of self-inflicted wounds. A woman was not found.

Youth on the roof of a school on Sparks St. Police observed a group running across the school field towards Kalum St.

BC Ambulance requested police assistance with a patient. Police stood by.

Assist external agency with two investigations.

Assistance with a process.

An intoxicated man and woman left a residence that they were no longer welcome at. Checks of an area were done.

Thornhill

Noise complaint on Queensway Dr. Checks of the area were done.

Breach of a no contact condition. Under investigation.

Familial dispute. Police spoke with the people involved and a resolution was reached.

Police observed a man stumbling onto the highway on the new bridge. Police transported the man to an alternate location.

Suspicious occurrence. A residence was checked out and nothing found.

Erratic driver on the Old Bridge. Under investigation.

Rural

Suicidal woman. Police apprehended the woman under the Mental Health Act and transported her to Mills Memorial Hospital.

A wallet was found and returned to its owner.

A man causing problems at a residence. Police transported the man to an alternate location.

A party near the river. Police spoke with a group having the fire. No concerns.

Abandoned burnt out vehicle on the Copper River Flats.
