Youth conference pays a visit

One of the largest youth conferences in Canada is coming to Kelowna.  On Feb. 24 to 26, roughly 1,500 youth from across Western Canada and the US will be attending Rush Youth Conference.

Rush is designed to engage our youth with the many issues facing our planet and be a major force for change.

Rush is partnering with Child of Mine, an organization birthed in Kelowna to create and support orphanages in India. There are more than 30 million orphaned children in India that are desperate for their brothers and sisters from around the world to step in!

More than 60 churches from across Western Canada and the U.S. are coming to Kelowna to participate this year. More than 200 of the youth have signed up to do “Adopt a Block” once again this year.

This involves assisting the many seniors in our city with yard work, cleaning, or any needs that they have. This has become a huge highlight for many youth. Serving people is the primary thrust behind Rush and we are really excited to be able to serve Kelowna and India again.
