Several charges have been recommended by Kitimat RCMP against two male youths arrested Sunday, April 10.

Constable Bradshaw said the police responded in the early hours of that day to a report of youths spray painting and damaging city property in the Moore Street area.

The youths fled when the RCMP arrived, dropping their paint cans and some stolen property.

One was caught soon after and the other was arrested later that day.

The youths had spray painted numerous properties in the area including a church, a piece of heavy machinery and street signs.

They had also broken into and stolen items from two vehicles, broke in the front door of a residence and had trespassed on school property.

RCMP have recommended charges of theft, mischief, break and enter and trespass at night.
