Zellers will be closing in Williams Lake March 17, 2013.
External communications manager for Hudson’s Bay Company Tiffany Bourré confirms the company will not renew its lease store in Williams Lake.
“There is no plan for it to become anything under HBC. It’s a lease non-renewal. Target acquired 189 lease holds so we’ve been announcing those closures as well, but the store in Williams Lake was not one of those acquired by Target — the lease is just not being renewed.’
The store closure will affect approximately 60 positions.
