Harry Tamelin

August 26, 1944 – December 7, 2023
In Loving Memory ~
Harry Tamelin passed away peacefully on Dec 7th at his home in Castlegar. He was known for his kind heart and hard work ethic.
Harry is survived by his wife Denise and his children Cindy (Allen) and grandchildren (Jared & Taylor) and Darren (Shelley) and grandchildren Kristyn, Calissa, and Ryan.
He is pre-deceased by his parents John and Tina and his siblings Bill, John, and Elizabeth.
Harry grew up in Pass Creek starting work at a young age. He met ‘Suzi’, the love of his life, Denise. They married, bought their home in Castlegar, and started a family. Harry worked many jobs in the forest industry starting at Glenmerry Sawmills in Trail, but his favorite job was working alongside his brother John in the bush. He loved the outdoors, fixing equipment, welding, and loading timber.
His weekends were spent with family and friends exploring his favorite fishing holes, camping, and playing horseshoes. He was a true family man; so proud of his children and grandchildren. In his retirement years, Butchy and Denise enjoyed traveling south and across the oceans.
Harry will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He felt one last tug on the line, he was quiet, and finally at peace. We love you dad.
We’d like to thank Dr. Deminoff for her caring home visits & Bridgette, Dayna & Arlee for their compassionate in-home care.
Harry requested to be cremated with no service. Obituary-
