In loving memory ~
Yvonne Mary Lines went to meet her Lord and Saviour on November 23rd, 2023. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Yvonne leaves to celebrate her life of 88 years, her children Rod Lines, Bruce (Marie) Lines, Sandra Lines, Wendy Hannan, Karen Clarke, Donna Lines, and Beverly (Menno) Zacharias. She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Terrence Lines, and son Dale Lines.
Her decision to be a wife and mother kept her slim and trim and provided her with a great deal of tender loving moments and wisdom beyond her years. In early years with 8 children Mom developed a great love of gardening. To feed her family, she often had to chase deer, bears, and grandsons from her strawberry patch. In later years, she spent hours tending her flowers and other people’s flowers as well. She passed this special talent on to most of her daughters.
Mom’s faith was her guiding light throughout her life. Besides instilling a strong faith in her children through the Sacraments, she celebrated her own with regularity. Whether in times of tears or laughter, she recognized and honoured our Lord and Savior!
Yvonne lived in Enderby and Salmon Arm area after 1976. Viewing is at 7 pm on December 1st at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Enderby, with the Funeral Mass Saturday December 2nd, at 11 am. Internment to follow at Mt Ida Cemetery, Salmon Arm. Reception back at St. Ann’s Church basement after the internment.
