It has been many months since we were promised that the two uncompleted floors at Vernon Jubilee Hospital would be completed, increasing the number of hospital beds.
I have not seen anything in the paper or on the news to indicate any progress towards more beds.
People are waiting in pain for years to get knee and hip replacements. Long anticipated surgeries cancelled because of lack of beds.
Now a baby delivered in a hotel instead of the beautiful new maternity unit because there is no room available.
When is there going to be an announcement that construction is going to start?
