Editor, The Times;
Thank you for clarifying that Clearwater residents are not in danger of losing mail service as a result of the changeover to civic addressing (Canada Post changes Clearwater mail delivery, Feb. 14).
We also want to mention that while we rely on cooperation of Clearwater residents, I can guarantee you everyone in Clearwater will have a box available at the new community mailbox site.
We work cooperatively with the municipality so we are aware how many civic addresses will require a box.
Changing a community to civic addressing is an indication the community is growing. That being the case, we always ensure there are extra boxes at new community mailbox to ensure we can accommodate future growth.
Canada Post has a lot of experience changing communities over to civic addressing – there is no reason to expect any problems with mail delivery – including mail delays or mail being held at General Delivery.
