Amalgamation

Resident says there is a need to determine how residents feel about governance

Few of us would comprehend the intricacies of amalgamation, so it is difficult to have an educated opinion.

Local votes initiated by special interest groups are determined by voter apathy.

It would be interesting to hear amalgamation opponents’ opinions if the question had been “who is opposed to,” with a 25 per cent result.

Should we then amalgamate?

Perhaps both questions need to be asked at the same time to get a more representative view.
