My wife is American and has chosen to live in Canada. Whilst reading a recent letter to the editor penned by Valerie Axford (The NEWS, Dec. 25), my wife came upon this passage from Axford: “I would hope that we vote for a prime minister who has good economic policies for our country and not an American version of charisma and great hair.”
My wife asked me what was meant by “an American version of charisma and great hair.” I told her that I did not know.
Perhaps Axford can explain what was meant by this comment.
