Re: LNG dream actually a nightmare, Letters, April 28.

The letter writer has obviously spent a lot of time in the Fort St. John/Dawson Creek area with the statements she has made: “every pipe joint leaks,” “the chemicals used poison our aquifers” and “stored in faulty reservoirs to leach down into the aquifers,” and of course, the ever-popular one that politicians are willing to kill us all because they are receiving oil and gas money.

The letter writer should have spent more time up there investigating the huge government cover-up of all the deaths in northern B.C. from the “horrific CO2 releases.” People are dropping like flies; children in the playground just keel over. All the farmland is contaminated from the pipeline leaks, all surface and groundwater is contaminated.

But because of money, no one up there cares about their children and grandchildren like the letter writer does.

Re: LNG dream actually a nightmare, Letters, April 28.

This letter writer opines against oil and gas pipelines and LNG facilities that produce high-paying jobs stating that “every pipe joint leaks” and that “it has been proven that more jobs have been created in the renewable energy sector than in the oil and gas sector combined.”  However, the letter writer provides no evidence for her assertions.

Neither does she allude to states or provinces such as Ontario which have pursued ‘green energy’ policies over the past decade and have seen skyrocketing costs for electricity and high debt and deficits that have brought the province to its knees.

Finally, I wonder what the letter writer uses to power her vehicle and heat her home? And if she believes that more jobs are created with renewable energy sectors, then now is a good time for her to step up to the plate and invest her savings in them.
